What We Do

Explore how our researchers and clinicians work together to transform science into real-world impact for patients with cancer and for preventive medicine.

Drug Discovery

Our teams develop new ways to treat cancer and other diseases, as well as preventive medicine, by translating scientific discoveries into next-generation therapies. Using advanced data analysis and AI-enabled tools, we scan for new proteins implicated in diseases and for opportunities that can most effectively improve patient care with the greatest impact. We then use advanced AI tools and automation to explore the chemical space to identify drugs that can target the disease related proteins and pathways.

Drug Development

We advance early discoveries into potential therapies by rigorously evaluating drug candidates and optimizing how treatments perform. Data-driven insights guide strategy and help move therapies forward efficiently and safely.

Preclinical Models

Our researchers study how diseases respond to treatment using established and emerging lab-based platforms. This orthogonal approach helps us assess toxicity and efficacy of therapeutic candidates and accelerates the path from discovery to development.

Biomarker Development

By combining advanced engineering, AI, and data science, we are developing biomarkers that reveal biological patterns – improving diagnostic accuracy, informing targeted clinical trials, and advancing personalized treatments.

Clinic and Clinical Research

In conjunction with the Ellison Clinic, EMI scientists work side by side with physicians to translate discoveries into treatments for patients. By bringing lab and clinic under one roof, we create a living feedback loop where innovation, research, and care propel each other forward.
