Michael Woelk

Michael Woelk is the Senior Manager, Security at the Ellison Medical Institute, where he oversees the Institute’s security operations.

With more than a decade of experience in security and law enforcement, Michael has overseen complex security operations, including managing major events, providing executive protection, and leading law enforcement operations. He previously worked at Gavin de Becker & Associates, where he safeguarded some of the world’s most influential individuals and corporate entities, executed global protection details, and developed security strategies for multimillion-dollar properties. Prior to this, Michael served as a Police Detective in Germany, where he led investigations in over a hundred criminal cases and served as an instructor for new recruits.

Michael earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement from the German University of Police and Public Administration, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Business from the International University of Germany. In his spare time, Michael enjoys creating memories with his wife and kids, exploring California’s campsites, hiking trails, and playing soccer.
