Lisa Flashner
Lisa Flashner is the Chief Operating Officer at the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT), where she leads strategic planning and oversees the Institute’s business and operational functions. Based in Oxford, Lisa plays a central role in guiding EIT’s operations, real estate, construction, and campus expansion, while supporting the Institute’s mission to make a meaningful impact in healthcare and scientific research. She is also a member of EIT’s Steering Committee.
Prior to relocating to the UK in 2024, Lisa spent 15 years as Chief Operating Officer of the Ellison Medical Institute (EMI) in Los Angeles. She continues to support EMI as a senior advisor and serves as a board member of the Ellison Institute Research Foundation. Across her career, Lisa has overseen financial and business operations, personnel matters, donor relations, and long-term strategic planning.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois, a magna cum laude law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Before joining the Ellison organizations, she was a partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital (formerly New World Ventures), where she focused on early-stage technology investments. She previously worked as a lead investment banker at Robert W. Baird & Co., specializing in the information technology and telecommunications sectors. Earlier in her career, Lisa practiced corporate law and worked as a tax accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co.
